In the Incubator

Clutch #1                        Chocolate yellowbelly x Yellowbelly

Not a bad way to start the year off, potentially hatching a never before seen morph.  I've got some ideas on what I hope an ivory chocolate will look like, so the waiting begins!  5 eggs were laid on March 16.

Babies are out!  Wound up with 0.1 Ivory, 0.3 YB's and a lonely male normal.  I'm not sure if the ivory has the chocolate gene in her at all.  Hopefully she does because otherwise the I missed on the chocolate gene completely in this clutch.  At least she is a girl and I can find out in a couple of years whether she has it or not.

Clutch #2               Pastel Genetic Stripe x Het. Genetic Stripe

I'm really rooting for pastel stripe female this year.  Last year I was only able to make a single male but a bunch of pastel het's.  Have my fingers crossed with this clutch.  6 fertile eggs laid on March 18.

Well I finally got my female pastel genetic stripe.  I didn't make any females last year but I did holdback a few pastel het girls in place.  Again this pairing made a majority of stripes in the clutch as last year I made 6 out of an 8 egg clutch.  The "normal" stripes both have nice stripes to them as well as one of the pastel stripes.  But I really like the busted up pattern on the pastel stripe.  Clutch results were 1.1 pastel stripes, 2.0 stripes and 0.1 pastel het stripe.

Clutch #3   Pastel het Caramel x het. Caramel

I proved this girl out last year to be a 100% het.  I'm hoping to hatch a pastel caramel male out of this clutch to replace my normal caramel male.  6 eggs were laid on 3-31-11.

Gonna be rough these eggs started going bad pretty early on.

Only one little boy made it out alive, he is a 50% het caramel.  Rest of the clutch went bad early:(

Clutch #4                            Pastel ivory, Chocolate blast x N.F #12

I seemed to have ran these two to a bunch of the same females.  Either way I'm hoping to be making a lot of babies from of these males this year.  6 eggs laid on 4-1-11.

Finally, after 4 years of trying to breed him, my pastel ivory gave me his first clutch.  These have got to be some of the best looking pastel yellowbellies I have seen.  The yellow just pops on them.  2.0 pastel yellowbellies, 0.1 pastel yellowbelly, 0.2 yellowbellies and 1 male yellowbelly.

Clutch #5                  Chocolate bee, Chocolate blast x Pastel

This is one of my exciting clutches this year.  I dont know if a super pastel chocolate has been made or not yet but to put a spider or pinstripe into the picture and it should make something nice.  Not to mention all of the other combos that can be made with this breeding.  6 eggs dropped on 4-5-11.

I was REALLY excited for this clutch, but a little let down once the eggs hatched.  No triple or quad gene animals but I did manage to hatch a normal in there.  Ended up hatching 0.2 super pastels, 1.0 pastel chocolate, 0.1 chocolate pinstripe, 1.0 pastel and a normal boy.

Clutch #6           Chocolate blast, Super pastel butter het ghost x N.F#11

I gotta make me some more pinstripe or butter girls to grow up.  So this female got both these males.  7 eggs laid on 4-9-11.

super pastel butter got her this time.  Clutch ended up being 1.0 pastel butter, 0.3 pastel butter's, 2.0 pastels and a lonely pastel female.  The entire clutch is all 50% het for ghost.

Clutch #7                                    Carpet x Carpet

I ended up having two clutches laid this day and I forgot to take a picture of mom on eggs.  But here is a picture of her on last years eggs just to show how bright her yellows are.  This is a new pairing for me as last years father was a jaguar carpet on loan from a friend.  Started out with 22 eggs on 4-9-11.

Clutch #8                               Albino blood x het albino blood

I was ready for this girl this year.  She didn;t give me very many eggs last year so I never noticed a swelling in her until she was wrapped around her eggs.  She only laid 5 last year, but this year she gave me 13 pearly whites on 4-13-11.  I love hatching baby bloods!

Clutch #9           Multiple males x N.F #9

This girl had the gauntlet ran to her.  I wasn't planning to do this but I just kept putting differeny males in with her.  6 eggs were laid on 4-28-11.

Pastel ivory got this girl as well.  Once again making some awesome pastel yellowbellies.  Ended up with 0.2 pastel yellowbellies, 1.0 pastel yellowbelly and 0.3 yellowbellies.

Clutch #10                                     Multiple males x N.F #5

I ran a few young males to this girl to see what they would do.  I write down whenever a male goes in with a girl and note it if there was a lock or not.  I've missed copulations and never wrote down that male being in with the female and that makes for a fun waiting game.  Therefore this breeding is labeled with multiple males.  5 little eggies and a slug were dropped on 5-1-11.

Spotnose male won this race.  These are neat little babies to hatch and I believe they are a little forgotten in the morph game.  Either way I hatched me 2 spotnose girls and 2 normal boys.

Clutch #11                                         Sulcata Tortoises

Our first year with these guys.  I got hooked on these guys not to long ago and bought a pair of adults last November.  We had let the pair roam the backyard together a couple of times during the winter, and to our suprise she dropped an egg in her "winter box".  So it was warm last weekend and I had put her outside and low and behold: EGGS.   Found 10 eggs she had buried plus the one she had in her lay box.

Clutch #13                Chocolate Blast x Mojave

Really interested in what this clutch will produce for me.  It would be nice to hit on the pastel chocolate mojave pinstripe if I could!!!

Nope no quad here.  Or at least it didnt make it.  Real bummed out for this clutch.  Ended up hatching 2 chocolates a female chocolate mojave and pastel chocolate female.  One egg went bad early and another was almost full term but it died.  I believe it would have been a pinstripe chocolate mojave because it had the coloring up the sides with a pinstripe pattern.  BOOHOO

Clutch #14          Double het Albino Pied x Double het Albino Pied

Been waiting awhile for eggs from this breeding.  I have another girl but doesn't look like she wants to go this year.  So These five eggs are gonna be my only shot for albino pieds this year.  5 eggs landed on 6-1-11
